A workspace scheme using shipping containers to provide affordable studio space for artists and other creative professionals opens this week at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London. Construction of the modular 'Container City' scheme began just before Christmas 2000, using fifteen 40ft shipping containers to create 4,800 sq ft of space, housing 12 new studios. The scheme is made of 80% recycled materials, and has a ground floor with full disabled access.
