Flavia Fraser-Cannon – Cabaret Producer Swipe / click to begin
Thursday My lovely Producing and Marketing placement Emma has fought off stiff competition to take a Stage One Apprenticeship at English Touring Theatre. I'm enormously proud but will be super sad to see her go. Here we are celebrating in the mozzarella bar near the office (Canary Wharf is weird).
Friday Here we have our marketing hats on, brainstorming the campaign for Wünderfinger, our show at the London Wonderground on the South Bank this summer. Emma and I get the big paper and bright pens out!
Saturday Today was my thirty-third-and-a-third birthday – because I'm a December baby and any excuse for a party! Pi the Mime DJ’ed and Nomad Creative ran a unique pop-up photostudio. I really enjoyed looking across the room and seeing friends from every walk of life together: theatre, cabaret, journalism, publishing, music, politics and entrepreneurs – such a brilliant bunch of people. Sunday Shhhh… hungover
Monday Mondays are always a mum day for me. Ivo is two and my ex and I have struck the perfect balance (for us) of nursery, hands-on parenting and maintaining our careers in live arts. There’s a dedicated google calendar and everything. Although sometimes I do duck into the office during naptime and risk my calculator for 15 minutes or so after he has woken up.
Tuesday Today I had a Skype call with my Artistic Director and friend Alexander Parsonage, who is currently taking a training sabbatical in Berlin with LISPA. We caught up on company stuff and had a good old gossip about life. (Is he giving me the finger?)
Wednesday Tonight was the graduation showcase of our Character Cabaret course. Ten weeks of training resulted in a range of acts presented at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, including a 6ft vagina being brought to life!
