V&A Director, Dr TRISTAM HUNT said: “ Melissa’s experience at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco will be invaluable at a time of transformation as we continue to expand our family of sites, with museums from Dundee to Stoke-on-Trent to East London.”

Buron added: “I am honoured to join the V&A’s talented teams at this exciting time of expansion and transformation for the collections under Tristram Hunt’s leadership.

“The forthcoming opening of V&A East: Storehouse and Museum represents a dynamic model for collections accessibility, which will meaningfully augment the established network of campuses from Dundee to South Kensington.

“The V&A’s extraordinary collections and the incomparable resources of the National Art Library have played a formative role in my career, and I look forward to being a part of their continued growth and excellence.”
