New Head of Design at Glasgow School of Art

STEPHEN BOTTOMLEY will be Glasgow School of Art's new Head of Design.

Currently Head of the Birmingham University's Institute of Jewellery, Fashion and Textiles, Bottomley will join the university in January.

Bottomley is Co-Chair of the ‘Craft Cultures’ research cluster and a former chair of the UK Association for Contemporary Jewellery.

“Small specialist institutions are very special,” Bottomley said.

“Having the opportunity to come to The Glasgow School of Art to help ensure it continues to succeed globally as an independent school is hugely exciting.”
