The Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) has appointed 10 new directors from across Scotland’s music industry to the company board. 

The board will provide strategic direction to SMIA and support the work of the executive team.

Joining the organisation are Head of EU Artist Services at TikTok DAVID MOGGENDORFF, broadcaster, DJ and Presenter of Scotland's BBC Introducing PHOEBE INGLIS-HOLMES and WME Music Agent ANDY DUGGAN.

Alongside them are Belladrum Tartan Heart Event Producer DOUGIE BROWN, General Manager of Music Managers Forum ANNELIESE HARMON, singer-songwriter HORSE MCDONALD and Co-owner of folk record label The Bothy Society JENNIFER ANDERSON.

Chief Executive of Drake Music Scotland THURSA SANDERSON has also been appointed, alongside Client Relations Manager, EMEA of music distributor FUGA SARAH JOHNSON and writer and author of Tarzan Economics WILL PAGE

Chief Executive RONNIE GURR said he is “delighted and humbled” by the response to SMIA's call for new directors.
