Eastside Educational Trust has elected EDWARD BENYON as Chair.

Estate Manager at the family-owned Benyon Estate in Hackney, Benyon succeeds TERRY CORBY who has held the post since 2020.

Benyon is also Chair of the Patrons’ Committee at Heritage of London Trust, a charity established to rescue historic buildings and monuments at risk.

"I am hugely impressed with the work of Eastside and the opportunities it gives to young people to expand their horizons and grow in confidence through the performing arts," Benyon commented.

"I am delighted to take up the position as Chair and look forward to working with the charity on its many inspiring projects.”

Chief Executive and Artistic Director MATT LANE added: "Edward is deeply rooted in our home borough of Hackney but also understands the great potential within Eastside to deliver work right across the country and beyond."
