Sinfonia Viva has named LUCY GALLIARD as its next Chief Executive.
She joins the East Midlands orchestra in January 2022, at the start of its 40th anniversary year.
Galliard is currently Director of Learning and Participation at Birmingham City Orchestra, where she leads teams responsible for CBSO's three symphonic choruses, its youth orchestra and its education and outreach programmes. She also leads on the CBSO's equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.
"I am delighted to be joining Sinfonia Viva at such an important time," Galliard commented.
"There are still many challenges ahead for the whole arts sector and our wider communities, but thanks to Viva’s reputation for innovation and excellence, I am confident that the orchestra has a bright future ahead."
