Dulwich Picture Gallery hails ‘specialist expertise’ held by new trustees
Dulwich Picture Gallery (DPG) has appointed three new trustees spanning the worlds of arts, wellbeing, policy, wealth management, and parks to help shape the gallery’s future strategy.
An advocate for art and wellbeing, ADEOLA GAY is a London-based writer who serves as a trustee of Hospital Rooms.
In 2020, Gay launched an independent blog, The Other Art Girl, to explore feminist art history and visual culture and is currently the senior curatorial manager at Artsy.
Investment director and ESG Advisory and Integration team leader JOHN COX will also be joining the board.
Cox started as a wealth manager before becoming a senior policy advisor in the UK Cabinet Office, working on the social investment and finance team, and the Department for International Development.
While there, he played an essential role in developing the Arts Impact Fund, designed to stimulate and test the arts market for social investment.
They will be joined by Crystal Palace Park Trust’s CEO, VICTORIA PINNINGTON, who manages and regenerates one of London’s largest urban parks.
Before this, Pinnington was acting CEO of the Horniman Museum and Gardens and a member of its senior leadership team for over a decade.
DPG chair Dame JANET VITMAYER said: “I am delighted to welcome Adeola, John and Victoria to our board.
“They bring specialist expertise to support the gallery in the breadth of our work, from audiences to investments and commercial activity.”
