Culture Secretary, LUCY FRAZER, has reappointed Dr WEI YANG, Dr JEREMY SILVER and LAELA PAKPOUR TABRIZI as board members for the British Library. All three will hold the role for a further four-year term, from May 2023.

Yang is a town planner and urban designer who sits as the chair of the planning practice, Wei Yang & Partners. She is also the co-founder and CEO of the Digital Task Force for Planning, a not-for-profit social enterprise utilising spatial planning.

At the British Library, Yang is Chair of the Capital Projects Committee and a member of the Library’s Fundraising Advisory Group.

An author and entrepreneur, Silver was previously CEO of Sibelius Software and Worldwide Vice-President of New Media for EMI. He also co-founded the playlist-sharing music subscription service Uplister.

Pakpour Tabrizi is the Director of Consumer Converged Finance at Virgin Media O2. Before that she was the CFO of three founder-owned and private equity-backed businesses.

She is Deputy Chair (acting chair) of the Audit Committee of the British Library and sits on the British Libray board's remuneration committee.
