The Arts Marketing Association (AMA) has announced the results of its election for new board members.

Marketing and audience development manager at Octagon Theatre Bolton, PARVATI PINDORIA, and creative producer at Warwickshire Libraries, Dr ANJNA CHOUHAN have been elected by the AMA’s community of more than 4,300 members. Meanwhile, RANJIT ATWAL has been re-elected for a further three-year term.

Pindoria has more than 15 years’ experience in arts marketing and specialises in strategic marketing, focusing on audience retention, engagement and strengthening community connections, particularly with South Asian audiences.

Chouhan has spent more than a decade working across academia, heritage and public libraries. Formerly an academic at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, her current role at Warwickshire Libraries involves finding fresh ways to connect people with culture.

Atwal will continue her work on the AMA board alongside her role as communications manager at Unlimited – a disabled-led arts commissioner – and her freelance consultancy.

On joining the AMA board, Pindoria said: “Throughout my career, the AMA has been an invaluable resource in connecting and supporting professionals in the arts. I’m eager to contribute fresh ideas, share my expertise in arts marketing, and advocate for diversity and representation.”

Chouhan said: “This is an exciting time to be part of the Arts Marketing Association board, and I am honoured to be – and looking forward to being – involved in its vital work over the coming years.”

On her re-election, Ranjit said: “There’s so much to do when it comes to inclusivity, representation, and supporting the next generation of talent in the arts. And I’m committed to using my voice and experience to help push things forward. A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me – it really means a lot.”

AMA CEO, CATH HUME, said: “At the AMA, we’re committed to championing arts marketers across the UK by providing support that reflects the real challenges and opportunities they face.

“These appointments are part of our ongoing journey to become an inclusive organisation that mirrors the vibrant arts marketing community we serve.”
