A special show, devised to give first time opera-goers a taster of some of the world?s most popular opera choruses, is being presented by Welsh National Opera (WNO) across the UK in collaboration with Classic FM and supported by The Foyle Foundation.

The evening event features music from a wide range of operas including Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, The Rake?s Progress and Die Fliegende Holländer (pictured), and is being performed by the WNO Chorus and Orchestra throughout its autumn tour. The show aims to surprise new audiences with how much opera they already recognise, from TV and the movies. Ticket prices range from £12.50 to £20, and a special information pack, plus a website giving ?everything you need to know about attending opera? (http://www.fresh2opera.co.uk) have been produced to help break down barriers to attending opera.
