What does your organisation do?
The Wellcome Trust is a medical research charity. As well as funding science, the Trust organises art exhibitions and award schemes - encouraging sci-art collaborations and wider public engagement with science.

What does your current job involve?
Management of Trust?s Science on Stage & Screen production award scheme.This includes the re-launch and promotion of the scheme in conjunction with the Trust?s Communications Team. It involves the development and implementation of the scheme schedule, during the application, assessment and evaluation phases, as well as advising potential applicants, drawing together a panel, and liaison both internally and externally.

Who did you used to work for and what did you do?
Jubilee Arts c/PLEX Project, as Integrated Arts Programme Co-ordinator Walsall MBC, as Promotions & Events Officer, co-ordinating and facilitating various performance and public art projects in collaboration with New Art Gallery Walsall,Walsall Community Arts, Smith & Fowle, Black Country Touring etc. Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, as Arts Programme Co-ordinator

What do you enjoy most about your present post?
A really friendly team, working with people from a whole different range of disciplines. Being exposed to new ideas and different perspectives. Oh, and the staff canteen is a revelation.

What do you find most difficult in your present post?
I?m generally used to working for smaller organisations. Adjusting to a large institution can take a little getting used to!

What is your career ambition?
This changes quite regularly! I?m currently researching a personal project idea and hope to take that further. I?m unsure where I?ll be two years from now, but that suits me.

Who has influenced your career to date the most - and why?
Penny Rea (formerly Director CCA Glasgow) for her positive advice and encouragement. Caroline Kirsop, Emma Chetcuti and Kate Fowle - for support and stimulating conversation and excellent collaborative experiences.

If you could have done any job in the world, what would you like to have done? Clothes designer/dancer/gardener

If you had three wishes for the future of the arts, what would they be?
