(IN GREEK) Blaming the Ministry of Education and Culture’s cinema advisory committee for a debt of €180k incurred while producing his film ‘Akamas’, Cypriot filmmaker Panicos Chrysanthou went on hunger strike on 27 April. The Ministry has now produced a 13-point rebuttal to the director’s claims, rejecting the “unfounded allegations about alleged cronyism and discrimination”.
