How to evaluate digital work
This webinar introduces The Space’s simple evaluation framework and shares insights and learnings from two digital commissions we have applied it to.

There’s a lot to think about when you’re producing digital work. And let’s face it, evaluation probably isn’t the part you’re most looking forward to.
But it’s only through evaluation that we can understand and communicate the value of our work and the impact it’s having – on audiences, on the people involved in creating the work, and in some cases even the wider world.
This webinar introduces The Space’s simple evaluation framework and shares insights and learnings from two digital commissions we have applied it to:
Replica by Displace Studio: a mixed reality performance which explores how we connect with each other in a world of growing digitisation.
You Are Here by Levenshulme Old Library: a series of audio stories each set in and inspired by one of Levenshulme’s parks and green spaces.
We’ll cover:
- Context – the challenges and opportunities of evaluating digital work in a meaningful way.
- Practical ideas – a framework to help you think through what’s important.
- Case studies – insights and learnings from two arts organisations that have applied this framework to evaluate the impact of their digital commissions.
