After 20 years with English National Opera, and 10 years as Artistic Director, JOHN BERRY is to step down. He said: “My work is now done and ENO is today regarded as one of the most creative forces in opera… I am looking forward to spending the summer deciding on my next role.” His resignation comes soon after the departure of both ENO Chairman MARTYN ROSE and Executive Director HENRIETTE GÖTZ. The board’s Artistic Committee is to continue artistic planning under the guidance of ANTHONY WHITWORTH-JONES.
