DC Research is an economics, creative and culture research company based in Carlisle and Leicester and operating across the UK. The DC Research study team has a wide ranging portfolio of experience in evaluating arts, heritage and cultural programmes on a local, regional and national scale.

Our Directors – Jonathan Durnin and Dr Stephen Connolly – have worked together for much of their careers in a range of research, policy and consultancy roles. They have more than 40 years combined experience in research, and over the course of their careers have developed a strong portfolio of arts, cultural and heritage sector research, and evaluation studies, robustly assessing and  measuring the impact of intangible/hard to measure arts and cultural assets and interventions. Our experience includes assessing impacts of iconic cultural buildings, theatres, festivals/events, museums, galleries and archives, cultural services, world heritage site inscriptions, as well as experience of more traditional impact and evaluation studies of cultural and creative industries.
