Mahmood is an experienced working accountant, business, tax advisor and educator, and the Owner-Manager of Pro Active Resolutions and Knowledge Grab. The business was created in February 1995 and offers accounting, tax, management and training services to a variety of client sectors, including the creative, not for profit and private sector.
Mahmood’s main role within the business is managing the practice, strategic planning, financial management, providing the lead on tax planning and investigation work, business and talent development and delivering training and senior level coaching and consultancy
Mahmood began his full time working life as a business & law lecturer in 1989 and then managed a successful transfer into industry and worked there for over five years as a divisional accountant reporting to board level.
Mahmood’s extensive teaching and learning background stretches over thirty five years having taught, trained and delivered at all educational levels and in a variety of sectors and settings, from vocational to professional, primary to post graduate, technical to the non-technical. Mahmood also teaches and trains professional accounting students to enable them to qualify and become members of their bodies in the UK and overseas, he is also a registered Oxford Brookes mentor.
On the International front Mahmood has carried out and been involved with a number of Consultancy and Training projects, these have included tax workshops to Senior Cuban Tax officials; delivery of professional training in Russia; development review for professional accountancy training in Tanzania, Kenya and the Seychelles.
Mahmood has been actively involved in the governance of arts and educational establishments across the East Midlands and beyond, and involved in the charitable and creative and cultural sectors for over 35 years in a working, professional and voluntary capacity.
