Arts Council Wales (ACW) is working to ensure the future of theatre in Bangor as Theatr Gwynedd announced that it will close in October. Based at Bangor University, the theatre has been affected by asbestos and electrical problems. ACW is in discussion “regarding plans for the theatre after the building is closed”, including “the use of alternative spaces, other stages and the creation of different kinds of performances”.
