A new Scottish Government initiative is set to fund increased cultural activities for vulnerable young people. The CashBack for Communities Arts & Business Match Fund will provide £600,000 over two years to arts organisations that receive eligible business sponsorship. They will be able to apply for £1 of funding for every £1 of sponsorship they receive, with a maximum grant of £40,000 and minimum of £1,000. Both in-kind and cash sponsorship are eligible. The programme aims to increase the number of businesses sponsoring arts activities that promote inclusion through the arts for young people between the ages of 10 and 19, especially Looked After Children, Young Carers and others who may not otherwise have arts opportunities.
