Whilst overall satisfaction with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland (ACNI) has increased marginally since it began asking its arts clients for feedback in 2006, there is considerable variation between those in its programme of Support for the Individual Artist Programme, which registered a satisfaction score of 90%, those in its Annual Support for Organisations Programme (73%) and Lottery clients, with a satisfaction score of under 70%. These and other figures, published in ACNI’s latest Client Satisfaction Survey, reveal that clients are more likely to be satisfied with ACNI in relation to the processes that they value personally (managing funds, handling queries and providing information), but there is less satisfaction around its strategic roles (advocating for the arts and being committed to artistic development).
