A comprehensive, searchable database of the UK’s public sculpture from the eleventh century onwards will be created and made freely available to the public online, if the required funding can be obtained by the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association (PMSA) and the Public Catalogue Foundation (PCF).

The project – called ‘Your Sculpture’, in line with PCF’s ‘Your Painting’ digitisation project – aims to raise awareness of the UK’s large public collection of sculpture, with an emphasis on education and engagement with schoolchildren and students.  It will build upon the PMSA’s existing database of over 10,000 outdoor sculptures and monuments. The process is expected to take about four years to complete.
