Newcastle Theatre Royal’s pantomime will be screened to children in hospitals across the North East, reaching 8,500 bedside screens. The theatre’s production of Aladdin will be shown at 2pm on 15 December, with a repeat reviewing later in the day. The project, which has been two years in the making, is the idea of Theatre Royal Trustee Howard Tait and is collaboration between Newcastle Theatre Royal, NHS North East and Hospedia, the region’s hospital broadcasting network. All participants have given their time to the venture for free.
