A six-year project to add around 100,000 sq ft of space to the British Library is expected to begin next year, it has been confirmed.

The development on land to the north of the central London building will see the addition of new “state-of-the-art” spaces, including a full-height foyer, new public entrances and a commercial space

Camden Council approved the library’s plans in July 2024.
