West End strike action avoided

Union BECTU and the Society of London Theatre have reached an agreement over pay for backstage workers. Front of house staff will receive an initial increase of £1 an hour on minimum rates, and a total increase of 20.1% over the course of the 36 month agreement. All other staff will get an increase of 4.5% initially, with a further 4% from April 2016.
