UK box offices reeled in £1.1bn in 2016

Despite slighly fewer attenders, UK Theatre venues saw ticket sales value grow to £471.7m last year, a 3.6% increase on the previous year. The Society of London Theatre reported its members’ West End sales of £644.7m over the same period, taking total box office revenues to over £1bn.
