Groundlings Theatre in Portsmouth may have to "start the business from scratch", its Artistic Director Richard Stride said, after burglars caused thousands of pounds worth of damage. The offenders pulled out wires and plug sockets, soaked the building in bleach and fire hydrant foam, destroyed computers, theatre equipment and props, smashed in doors and stole cash from a safe. The theare has launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover the repair costs.
