Tate Britain transformed

The London gallery has revealed its £45m refurbishments which were predominantly funded through private donations alongside a £4.9m Heritage Lottery Fund grant. Chairman Lord Browne has called the project a “triumph of private philanthropy” representing a “new age” for giving in Britain.
