Soho Theatre hopes to turn former Waltham Forest cinema into arts venue

Plans by Soho Theatre and Waltham Forest Cinema Trust to purchase and renovate the former EMD cinema, which has been empty since 2002, are dependent on the local council approving funds for the compulsory purchase of the building from its current owners, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.
