The Royal Academy of Arts has been granted £12.7m by the Heritage Lottery Fund to use for what it is calling the ‘Burlington Project’. The plans include a new gallery space, a learning centre and a 300-seat debating chamber, as well as creating a corridor link to the building at 6 Burlington Gardens which was acquired in 2001.
