Data released by the Society of London Theatres reveals West End theatres took £766m at the box office in 2018 – an 8.6% increase on the previous year, with a 3% growth in audiences. Revenue increased by a similar proportion at regional box offices (up 8.4% to £510m), but audiences grew by just 0.3%.
