Quality music education only reaches a minority
An Ofsted report says there is a lack of rigour in school music education despite a mass reorganisation of music support services in England last year. Michael Cladingbowl, Director of Schools Policy at Ofsted, said: “the vast majority of the schools visited shied away from teaching pupils about fundamental aspects of music as they thought it too difficult.”
