£750m development built around Shakespearean theatre remains

A heritage centre showcasing the remains of the Curtain Theatre – where a number of Shakespeare’s plays were first performed – will be the centrepiece of a new commercial and residential development in East London. It will also feature a 200-seat sunken amphitheatre.
