£10m gap in Edinburgh’s plans

Some of the city's flagship cultural events and festival venues may have to scale back their plans as funding from Creative Scotland has fallen short of the value applied for by a total of £10m. The current City Council agreement, worth £4.1m a year to major festivals and events, will last until 2015/16, when there will be "difficult decisions to be made about where to spend and save money in the next budget."
