Plummeting Lottery sales to impact HLF grants
An estimated £300m is available for the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to distribute this financial year – down from £385m in 2015/16, owing to falling National Lottery sales. HLF said demand for funding has “never been higher” and warned of possible changes, including caps on major grants, increased match-funding requirements, and using funds for low-interest loans instead of grants.
