Performing Arts GCSE & A-level to be scrapped in exam reforms

Unpopular GCSE and A-level subjects, and those seen as ‘soft’ or overlapping with other subjects, are to be axed. Performing Arts is seen as too similar to Dance and Drama. The most popular A-level to be scrapped is Film Studies, which is seen as overlapping with Drama and Theatre Studies.
