The musician, who co-founded Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), says a “flawed” Office for Students (OfS) (previously known as HEFCE) process in 2016 cost the institution significantly in lost funding, with estimates placing the figure at over £16m. OfS says it is cooperating with the Ombudsman on a live investigation into previous decisions by HEFCE.
