The Story Museum will reopen on April 4 following a £6m redevelopment of its historic Oxford site.

Founded in 2003 and initially operated as a virtual museum, it closed in 2018 to become "fully operational", materials released by the organisation this week said. The family-focussed attraction includes The Enchanted Library, where visitors can step inside iconic scenes from well-known children's books, The Whispering Wood, an indoor forest of tale-telling trees, and 100-seat theatre The Shed.

The museum has a mission to improve children's literacy and is "dedicated to storytelling in all its forms".
