Manchester’s new production centre for international contemporary art, formed by the merger of Library Theatre Company and Cornerhouse Cinema, has been named ‘Home.’ The name has resulted from a research process that asked local residents, audience members and key partners about the desired atmosphere and character for the new venue. It reflects research feedback suggestions that the venue should be “a second home, somewhere you feel at home, [and] the home of great work.” The research will go on to inform programme development and interior design.
