New App puts theatre on TV

A new theatre app has been launched by Samsung, aiming to bring critically acclaimed British theatre productions to wider audiences in their own homes. Digital Theatre, which works in partnership with Britain's leading theatre companies to capture live performance authentically onscreen using multiple camera angles and high-definition technology, has teamed up with companies including the Young Vic, Royal Shakespeare Company, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and the Almeida Theatre to make productions including All My Sons with David Suchet and Much Ado About Nothing starring David Tennant available through the app on specially enabled Samsung televisions.
