National Theatre’s Temporary Theatre to close in May

Since opening in 2013 the 225-seat venue, which showcases work by emerging artists, has played to 91% capacity with 34% of audiences aged under 35. The National Theatre said the refurbished Dorfman Theatre had “taken on the mantle” of staging experimental theatre.
