Musicians have already lost £13.9m in earnings because of the coronavirus, the Musicians’ Union estimates.
Nearly 3700 members surveyed said their income had already been affected - 90% of the sample, according to data released on Monday.
The Musicians' Union has announced a new hardship fund that will give £200 grants to out-of-work musicians. It has called on the Government to provide more clarity around employment support for the self employed.
