Music festival goes bust and cancels

Organisers of Beverley Folk Festival, which had scheduled over 80 acts and was due to be held in the middle of June, said the event has been cancelled because they lost their primary source of funding and “simply do not have the money to pay for either the infrastructure or performers”. People who bought tickets – which cost up to £130 – have been told they will not get a refund.
