Museum workers strike over pay

Staff at five venues in the Science Museum Group (SMG) are calling for a “reasonable wage”. The Prospect Union says below-inflation pay rises have meant a real-terms pay cut of 10% since 2011. SMG said it had made a “reasonable offer” of an increase in pay of at least 1.5% to all employees, and of 6.9% for those on the lowest salaries.
