Most actors earned less than £5k from the profession last year, survey suggests

One in five of the 3,000 respondents to research by recruitment firm The Mandy Network had not been paid in the entertainment industry over the past six months. Half took on unpaid work every year and 63% earned less than £5k from acting jobs in the past year.
