Leicester’s Haymarket Theatre set for Christmas reopening

A five-strong consortium has secured £3m from Leicester City Council to refurbish the theatre, which has been disused since 2007. As well as staging theatre, concerts and comedy, it will be home to the National Training Theatre, which will offer training in partnership with Leicester College from autumn 2018.
