iPlayer to host arts content

The BBC will be opening access to third-party content on the iPlayer, starting with a six-month schedule of digital content involving arts organisations. The British Film Institute, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal Opera House and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust will partner with the BBC to launch an online festival marking the 400th anniversary Shakespeare's death.
