Hull arts venues to close in lead up to City of Culture 2017

The Ferens Art Gallery and Hull New Theatre will close to the public for up to a year while they undergo extensive refurbishment. The Ferens will receive a £2.9m facelift and a £6m extension to the New Theatre will create extra backstage space and increase stage capacity.
