Highest number of tickets sold in a decade at Edinburgh International Festival
The 2013 festival saw an average 80% of seat availability filled across the 220 events, with 158k tickets sold. However, box office income of £2.43m was the lowest since 2006, partly due to the increased number of cheaper tickets for a season of shorter plays.
