Hackney cinema to reopen as arts and music venue

A multimillion pound proposal to revitalise a derelict art deco cinema in Dalston, north London, has been approved by Hackney Council. The team behind East London’s Village Underground plan to part-open the ‘Hackney Arts Centre’ later this year and be fully operational in spring 2018.
