Workers at the National Gallery in London are staging a fresh wave of strikes over plans to privatise visitor services. The Public and Commercial Services Union is also calling for a demonstration to protest the dismissal of union representative Candy Udwin, which it describes as a “direct attack” by the gallery. The gallery declined to comment, saying the dismissal was an “ongoing” and private matter.
